No ignition
Hot-surface igniters, flame sensors, and gas valves — the three parts behind most first-cold-night calls.
No-heat calls, short cycling, and heat exchanger concerns handled by a veteran-owned crew that shows you the evidence. Flat pricing, one-year labor warranty, same-day service.
Hot-surface igniters, flame sensors, and gas valves — the three parts behind most first-cold-night calls.
Limit trips from restricted airflow, blocked flues, and failing pressure switches, traced to the real cause.
ECM module failures, seized bearings, and control boards that leave you with heat but no air movement.
Verified with a camera and combustion readings, documented with photos before any replacement conversation.
Reversing valves, defrost control, and auxiliary strips silently running up a winter power bill.
Miswired replacements and rodent-chewed low-voltage lines that mimic an expensive equipment failure.
Heating equipment here sits idle for most of the year. From March to November the furnace does nothing while dust settles on the burners, oxide builds on the flame sensor, rodents look for shelter in the cabinet, and the igniter ages without ever being tested. Then a 38° night arrives, the thermostat calls for heat for the first time in eight months, and the weakest component announces itself.
That is why the no-heat surge in this valley is so concentrated: half the city discovers the same problem on the same evening. Booking a heating check in October rather than waiting for December is the cheapest insurance in the trade.
The failures themselves are usually small. A flame sensor cleaning, an igniter, a pressure switch hose. The expensive outcome comes from misdiagnosis, not from the part.
A cracked heat exchanger is a genuine safety issue — it can allow combustion byproducts into your living space, and the correct response is to shut the equipment down. It is also the single most abused diagnosis in residential HVAC, because it converts a service call into a five-figure sale and most homeowners have no way to check the claim.
Our standard is evidence. If we condemn a heat exchanger you get camera footage of the crack, combustion analyzer readings, and an explanation of what we measured. If the readings are clean, we tell you the furnace is safe and we do not bring up replacement.
If another company has told you your exchanger is cracked and you want a second opinion, that is a call we are glad to take.
